No! Rotastak cages are designed to look pretty for the owner, but are completely unsuitable for hamsters.
They have curved plastic walls which are known to be distressing for hamsters.
The tubes are far too narrow.
They allow extremely poor ventilation, leading to respiratory problems.
Their floor surface area is often far too small.
You’d be much better off buying a large wire cage and providing your hammie with an igloo to sleep in and a large exercise wheel.
You can buy wire cages that have tubes going around the outside, which would be perfect for you and your hammie.
Good luck finding the perfect cage! As a minimum try and find a cage with a floor surface area of at least 30cm x 30cm, although this is the absolute minimum…
No, syrian hamsters are far to big for the tubes. They can get stuck and dye within hours. Do you want to wake up one morning to find a dead hamster?? they are best suited to big wire cages with plastic bottoms. Far better ventilation and bigger space for them to moce around!
Yeah! that would be big enough as my friend has the space commander cage and one big syrian hamster!
mine did. i had a syrian hamster that loved that!!!
Should be fine.
yes he would .
