The crittertrail 1, you can buy attachments and make it bigger. Just remember to limit your tubes ’cause they can get tired and sleep in them and then get stuck :s I have had two hamsters that lived in it an they lived till they were three and a half. (one lived till it was four) Just you may have to change the water bottle it comes with, it’s hard for the hamster to drink out of.
If you do get a hamster make sure you do a lot a research to make sure you take care of it correctly. For the cage I would suggest a fifteen to twenty gallon aquarium. Make sure it’s not too small the bigger the better. I would not suggest anything with plastic like some Critter trail cages. They do not have enough ventilation and they are very easy to escape from. Use aspen as bedding. Cedar and pine causes respiratory problems. And get some toys for the cage. A hamster likes it’s privacy as well as a human would so get a something for your hamster to hide in. There are also some really good homemade toys for hamsters. http://www.hamsterhouse.com is a really good site for first time hamster owners.
Best of luck.
critter trail discovery!!!!!!!!
I have had many hamsters with many different cages and they seemed to be most happy and active in the critter trail discovery, but. . .
Chinese dwarf hamsters are the nicest breed.
1)smaller cage takes up less space in your house.
2)less food to buy
3)less bedding to buy
4)chinese dwarf is the nicest breed (they never bite. I have one)
5)all in all cheaper and parents tend not to mind them as much.
Well make sure the bar spacing is no bigger than 1/2 of an inch or you will have a runaway hamster!!! Also, use aspen bedding only. Any hamster cage is fine, maybe around 1 foot tall and 1 1/2 feet long and 1 foot wide, anywhere around that is good!

Total: $35.00
Warnings: Critter Trail cages are unsafe. They are made of plastic that can be chewed through. They are soo hard to clean and break when you try to put it together. It has paint that can be toxic so do you get the point!?
a cage like this would be good. it has a lot for your hamster to do so it wont get bored.http://img.hexus.net/v2/lifestyle/news/m…
