What Kind Of Hamster Cage Should I Get My Syrian Hamster?

my hamster has grown alot to big for his cage now what do you recommend by the way she is a golden teddy bear hamster

We (my hams and I) Love aquariums! I would not recommend storage bins… My hams have chewed through plastic before….. Yes, contrary to many people’s beliefs, aquariums do provide proper ventilation. They are also escape proof! Btw.. hamsters like dry aquariums.. not swimmin’ with the fishies…. I have had a lot of questions where people flip about someone having hams in a aquarium:D
EDIT: Dont get tank toppers.. I have never had much luck with them..
I’d recommend a BIG cage with tunnels and a lot of space. My hammy is a golden syrian and he has a fairly big cage with tunnels, bearing in mind he is 20cm long and quite chubby! definitely a big cage, lots of room and your hammy shud be fine!
You could either make it out of a storage bin, which you might have in youre house or home depot. Dont use aan aquarium. go to the pet store and buy a medium or large size half plastic hald wire cage.
I don’t have a hamster but my friend does and she has a big cage with very small holes inbetween the bars.
I don’t know if that helps at all.
