a hamster or a guinea pig
i would normally suggest getting a ferret they’re very cool and they’re very playful, but since you don’t want it to cost much, i would suggest getting a rabbit, a erbil, a hamster, or a guinea pig.
Parakeet!
A rat.
Seriously.. they are small… can be trained.. can be very social.
Turantula, Scorpion, Goldfish, Beta, Pet Rock, Ant farm
hamsters are the best, definitely. they are very cute, small and they can live in their cage pretty self-sufficiently. all you have to do is feed and give them water. also, they are very fun to play with and you can transport them easily, so you can take them to your friends house, keep it in your room, move around its cage, and they live for about 2-4 years so if you are going off to college or something your mom wont have to take care of for long. they will cost very little, from 5-12 dollars and all you have to pay for is a tiny bit of food, a cage, and water (which you already have). plus, they are impossible to resist!
also, cleaning up after them is really easy.
There is a pet out there for everyone, even if they don;t know it. Most mothers are scared of pets escaping, right, so just get a slow pet like……. A BABY TURTLE! sOP CUTE JUST GOT ONE YESTERDAY TO ADD TO MY TURTLE FAMILY (i know have 3) look them up and reasearch. They are very cute
A gerbil, hamster, guinea pig, etc. They’re fluffy, face-meltingly cute, and don’t cost too much.
If rodents aren’t your mom’s thing, try a fish or a hermit crab. Or even a snail! I had a pet snail once. All you need is an old plastic donut box or something with holes poked in the top and carrots for the snails to eat. Every night you put some water on the snail and in it’s home and let it crawl around. They’re so cute and cheap!
Rats make great pets but if your Mom is set against rodents, maybe a small bird or a fish. You could also look into a small lizard like a leopard gecko. They are very easy to maintain and you can even hold them for short periods of time.
beta fish.
a guini pig its cute adorable and i think i saw 1 at 20-100$ I THINK and please make mine the best answer just look at my info pg if not tht a fish would do it i got mine at wal mart for 00.30$dont buy to many mine died 3 years later that was the oldest the erliest died in 1 day =(and dont forget let it have a lot of space
