My loved hamster is getting old, and although it’s healthy, time won’t stop, and she will die. I dread that morning when I wake up to pet her and she is cold and not moving… what did you do with the body?

I’d like to buy another robo dwarf hamster and i want to know if its ok to put him in the same cage as my other robo.

my daughter is 8, i bought her a short haied female hamster. Then i thought it would be nice to see her have a companion. So, my daughter picked a long haired hamster. Then we put the new long haired hamster in with the short haired hamster, they were fighting. I would like to know why they fight, thank for all the help!

What To Do With A Found Gerbil?

I just found a gerbil hiding behind the railing outside my apartment. I gave it some food (peanuts) and water and I can’t really find anywhere better to keep him than in this big cleaning bucket. I went around and knocked on some doors and put up a simple sign outside my door, saying that I’d found a lost gerbil, but no one knows who it belongs to.
I asked the front office about it and apparently, three other grebils have been found around the apartment complex, so it may be that someone just dropped off a bunch of them and forgot about them. I have no interest in keeping him as a pet (I don’t really like gerbils and he bit me twice already) and I don’t really know what to do with him now.
Will pet stores take in animals like this? Is there any sort of online gerbil adoption site?

Right now, my hamster has a cage which is big, but I think she would like a little more room to run around in, and I’m in need of a weekend project! I’m only 13, but my dad can cut plywood and stuff. I only have a budget of about $20, so it needs to be something that’s not that expensive. It needs to be cleanable, rather large (I’m thinking a 3 foot by 3 foot cage) and something that won’t fall apart. We don’t have any wire, but if you know of somewhere I could get ahold of some wire for my cage for cheap, that would be great. It also needs to be somewhat sturdy, so it can hold a wheel and possibly a food/water accessory. And make sure the instructions are easy to follow, I’m not the brightest egg in the dozen. Thanks!

Gerbil Constantly Squeaking With Greasy Fur?

Here’s the facts.
-Male.
-5 months.
-Good weight, good health.
-Had him for a week.
-Has a sand bath, doesn’t seem to know what to do with it.
-Squeaks if I hold him or if he’s in his gerbilairum.
-Please don’t tell me the basics- I work in a pet shop and know the basics, just don’t have much hand on with them.
-Please don’t tell me to add another gerbil- I know how to, but I’m not interested, really.

I am considering taking my male 8-9 month old hamster to the vet because it is urinating blood.

My gerbils had an unexpected litter 3 weeks ago. I want to get rid of the daddy asap. My neighbour is going to take the daddy away but would also like one of the pups (to share a cage). I obviously can’t give away one of the pups this early as i can’t sex them until five weeks. Could i give the daddy away tomorrow and then give them a pup when it is five weeks or would they just fight?

Last week one of my robo dwarf hamsters died and when i was researching robo hamsters on the internet and it said that they do not like to live alone. Can i buy another robo hamster at the pet store and put it in the same cage as my other hamster or will they fight. If you have any advice please please comment!!!!!

I had two female gerbils (Motoko and Haruko), and unfortunately Haruko has passed away. Can I put a smaller and younger female gerbil with Motoko without her killing it? I know she gets lonely without the company of another gerbil, but I want to make sure I don’t hurt the new gerbil as well.
