I really want a hamster, but I’m not sure if I can afford it. I heard it costs about $80 startup including cage, etc. and then about $20 per month? Also what kind of cage/wheel/ball should I get for a black bear syrian?

What kind of wheel is good for a gerbil? Where can I get it? I don’t want to order online so if there is one at Petsmart, Petco, Target, or Walmart please give me the link! I heard this is a great wheel for gerbils but where do I get it? http://www.transoniq.com/images/gerbil1.…
Thanks!

She is a syrian hamster has two houses a comfort wheel and a litter box. I feel like there aren’t any fun things for her to do or toys really. Does anyone know anything that I can put in her cage to play or climb on?
Thanks

I got him a new wheel because I got him as a gift, and didn’t want him to get bored if I’m sleeping or away. I never see him use it. He just looks at it. And I made sure it was the right size for gerbils and it is.

I gave her nice bedding when i bought her. She can burrow in her bedding and its very soft. But she ignores it and sleeps in her wheel. Could her sleeping in her wheel cause health problems and why does she do this?

His name’s Nugums. He had a brother once that later learned to use a wheel, but died recently. I cant get this lazy fat guy to start running, so how do i teach him to use the wheel?

My hamster keeps taking his pine bedding from the bottom of his cage and putting it in his wheel. I have to clean out his wheel everyday because when he runs in it he leaves the bedding in it and it makes a clanking sound that drives me crazy. He has a huge cage to himself and he has a huge bottom floor area where he coule make a bed. He even has a little hamster loft where I put extra bedding in, just so he can sleep there. However, he keeps dragging bedding up to his wheel (plastic) and keeps making a bed there. Why does he keep doing this?
