The hairless spot is about an inch long.

Today at 10:20pm I noticed that my hamster has a bald spot (I checked on the computer and it said it’s a sign of illness) but my parents doesn’t think it’s an illness and wouldn’t take it to the vet. Should I tell my parent that it needs to be taken to a vet tomorrow?

My nine month old gerbil has a bald spot on her thigh, and it almost seems to be getting worse sometimes. Do you think it might be a skin condition or nothing? Please help.
