I have two gerbils i just got, ones kind of old the other is a little baby, right now we’re doing the split cage method, but before we did that we introduced them and the little one kept sqeeking then putting its mouth by the bigger ones mouth…? what does that mean?

They have food in there dish but anything I give to them (lettuce, carrots, cheese, ect) they wont take. What are treats that ppl feed there gerbils?

I see bugs that are small and black and kind of like mites, but bigger. And they are found in my case of gerbil food.

So I have 2 female gerbils(sisters) and 2 male gerbils (brothers) is the same aquarium(not realted to each other I mean the males with females. So do I have to split the tank when right before the babies will born or can I just have two litters in one tank? Thanks a lot if someone knows this!

Today is a rough day for me. I just got two rats who are settling in and now my brother just chopped off a piece of his gerbil’s tail off and the bone is exposed. Now my mom and my borhter are having a fit and I want to know what to do. Should we go to the vet?
