do i have to change the water everyday?

Wanted to know. I’m guessing around three years.

I’ve seen many gerbils rub their noses raw from being in cages, biting on the bars and digging frantaclly to get out so no I’d recomend a tank as they love digging and a normal hamster cage isn’t deep enough for them to dig. Plus as they chew they could chew out of the base.
The best for gerbils is a tank with peat halfway full, with hay and wooden toys buried in them. You only need to clean them out once a month when it gets too dry and scatter the food so they can forage. They absolutely love digging tunnels and then filling them in and starting again and to get them out just dig them out because once back they’ll happily start again.

My gerbils seem to understand their names, and the words ‘food’, ‘no’ and ‘hello’. One of my gerbils, Loki, will often wink at me if I say hello to him!

She is 3 years old, but her sister from the same litter seems just fine, and her pup, who she had about 2 years ago, in my care( I am not a breeder). She seems overweight, lethargic, and her eyes will not open fully, and she seems to be isolating herself from the other gerbils in the same cage.

Please answer because my freinds gerbils fell out and is wondering if i can have her with my 2 male gerbils.

if you have ever taken your gerbil to a gerbil show and come out in a decent place like 3rd or so. what did you do to make your gerbil look like a show gerbil?
