Show you are responsible. Care for your other pets if you have any, keep your grades up and do extra chores around the house. You will also need to earn extra money. You should always have at least $200 in case of an emergency. Good Luck!

I’m in the same situation but i want rats. Try giving a speech about why you want them and what they need to take care of them. Or volunteer at a pet shop or humansociety to prove your responsible and you really want one. Or if one of your friends has one then watch it to prove you can take care of it and that you know what your doing.

What i would do is do things that might help her with out without her asking you like, doing the dishes cleaning your room, doing chores and other things like that. It is also really good that you did research on gerbils then will know how to care for your gerbils well!

You should show her that you are responsible by doing chores without her having to ask you to do them and getting good grades at the same time. If no ones answer’s help, you should ask her what you can do to show her that you’re responsible.
