I Have One Hamster Can I Buy Another One And Put It In Same Cage?

I was thinking of getting another hamster and I was wondering if it is okay to put him or her in my hamster cage I have?

No you can’t. Hamsters aren’t social animals, therefore don’t communicate well with others. Hamsters like to live on their own even in the wild. When the hamster is old enough to leave its mother it will leave. In the wild if a hamster comes across another hamster they will fight because hamsters like to be left alone, especially in there territory.
Say you were going to get another hamster and they were both males… result is both will get hurt or one will die… not good. Say you were to get a male and female then they will mate, but after that they will most likely fight. IN a chance they may not, after the female has the babies, the male will eat them.. Jealousy I suppose…

if your hamster is a syrian then NO, they will kill each other. if its a dwarf, maybe, but only if you’ve had it for a few days. any longer and it will attack another hamster coming into its territory
NO one of my freinds did that and all she got was 1 ded hamster and a lot of blood realy dont hamsters are usually very agresive between them self

it depends on what kind of sex it is if you want a boy and a girl to get babies put them together. but don’t put two male in the same cage they might fight. but if it is two girls it is okay to put them togerther
if its a boy and a girl your putting together then no they will mate do you want little tiny hairless rats everywhere.
