How To Stop My Hamster Chewing Bars On Her Cage?

My hamster has just started chewing the bars on its cage. I have looked it up and all it says is shes bored but that’s imposable because she has a cage big enough for two hamsters, a wheel, 2 chew toys, a mineral bloke and every night i take her out and put her in a exercise wheel. I also move the stuff in the cage around once a week! Anyone got any other ideas on how to stop her?

My hamsters (I’ve had 5 of them) didn’t chew on their bars except for a Russian dwarf I had. We put Tabasco on the cage bars and she quit (she used her chew blocks instead). I don’t recommend it if its a small hamster (because of the size…I learned my lesson), but I’d also rub some veggies on the chew blocks.
Honestly, I don’t think the cage is big enough. It is instinctual for hamsters to chew, but not on cage bars. If the pet store says a cage is big enough for two hamster, it probably is not even big enough for one.
she is only doing what comes naturally – they need to gnaw away to keep their teeth in order- the only other thing you can do is buy a gnawing chew from a pet shop to see if she will chew on that instead
its pretty natural for hamsters to want to chew things, they are animals after all!
I wouldnt worry about it to much, its all part of a hamsters life! All mine does is chew the bars and run in his wheel alll night long
But her some stuff to climb on. You can but her a ball to roll around in around the house. Or you can get it some more wooden toys for there teeth.
it is fine for her to chew on her cage. maybe she just prefers to chew on the bars than chew the mineral block. it’s good to know you’re taking good care for your hamster.
Get your hamster to try chew the chew toys at least once a day. Then maybe the hamster will chew on the toys instead.
Or if it’s a dwarf get it a playmate.
It’s fine for her to chew on the cage.
If it’s a really good and hard one, nothing can happen
Rub the bars with a Garlic clove.
you cant because one way or another they have to constantly chew something
