NOT a chinchilla they are VERY very hard to care for they die easily its only for someone expirienced
gerbils are mean i dont particularly like them ive been bitten by many for no reason but ive met a few that are sweet (hard to find)
teddy bear hamsters are nice, they love to be held and are very playful in a way lol
about $12 for the hamster
$5-$6 for food once or twice a month depends how much they eat
$6 for bedding- get carefresh its the best for them- NO cedar that kills….. about once or twice a month
no expirience with rats really but they poop ALOT when held but they are great pets and about the same costs of a hamster but the rats themselves cost like $5-$7
ok well i have rats and chinchillas
and those are the best choices.
yeah yeah, people say rats are gross and mean but they are way sweeter then gerbils and hamster. they cost about 3-10$
and chinchillas are also very sweet and can learn there names and be litter box trained they cost around 100-200$
but are worth it , breeders are a lot cheeper
they are both very loving animals and you can expect the same love from both of them. i dont suggest gerbils or hamsters unless you want a bitter animal, and gerbils and hamsrters are more likly to bite and my rats and chins have never bit me once, and i hope you think this through but all four animals can be loving as long as you treat then kindly
and chinchillas are almost as easy to care for then any other pet but need more love, its a good to experince an exotic pet and you will learn to love em. but its your choice. i hope you have fun with whatever critter you chose
to keep a rat from getting sick, feed him dried oatmeal, and it helps them to live longer and more healthy lifes
chinchillas can live up to 20 years so be ready for a long term pet if you want a chin, but they can learn lots of tricks if you take the time to bond with em
hamsters and gerbils are the cheapest rats are around the middle and the chincilla are the most expensive. i would say everything but a rat
Before you just go out any buy one, please read about them and find out about their habitats and what you will need to provide for them. Gerbils are generally the cheapest and bite less than hamsters do. Plus hamsters are awake during the night and sleep during the day. I think rats are gross… Chinchillas are very expensive and hard to care for. Get a Gerbil- great pet, cheap (9-12 dollars) but they do smell just like all of the pets you listed do so make sure to clean out the cage every other day and change the bedding every week.
I’ll just tell you how much they are at the Petco down the street from my office:
. I’ve heard that rats are smarter – so it’s completely up to you! Rats, gerbils, and hamsters all live about 2-3 years on average.
Rat: normal white rat – $5, fancy (colored, patterned) rat – $12
Gerbil: $9
Hamster: Syrian, Teddy Bear hamster – $8, normal Russian dwarf hamster – $8, fancy (colored, patterned) Russian dwarf – $12
Chinchilla: $180 (not a typo)
I personally love hamsters because, well, I’ve had hamsters for years and I just can’t stop getting them
I would not recommend getting a chinchilla as a first pet if you’ve never had an exotic pet before. They are harder to care for compared to the other pets you listed here, and they are EXPENSIVE – they also require a large, high cage so they can jump around in it, and they require a lot of accessories. But they do live for a very, very long time. Some as long as 20 years!
Hamsters. They’re Cute & Loving. I Got Mine For About 5 Bucks. But Then 13 For Cage 4 For Food & Then ..Toys.. lol. So Yeah They’e Not Sooo Soo Expensive. But I’d Wait Till You Buy Everything At Once.
Rats are the most intelligent and trainable of all rodents. They can even be potty-trained. They also bite the least.
the rat is better and they can cost 7-12$ depeniding on wer u getum
hamsters are the best. teddy bear hamsters are so nice and cute! gerbils are nasty little things. hate them. chinchillas are alright, but they’re expensive. hamsters are like, eight dollars. i have a hamster.
gerbils, because they bathe themselves and they dont cost as much…..heres everything that you will need and thier costs.
1. Gerbil $7
2. Cage $25ish (it depends how big it is)
3. Bedding $10 tops
4. food bowl & food $8
5. wheel to excersize $3ish
6. chew toys & toys $5ish
it is best if you buy a glass aquarium because gerbils will bite through plastic ones!
Ok, first, rats are icky, don’t get one. Second, are you looking for a long-term or short-term pet? If you are just looking at price, well, that would be hamsters and gerbils, but they don’t have as long a lifespan. I personally would pick a chinchilla if I had to choose from that group. They are the most expensive, but they live a long time. My friends had one for a LONG time and it was so awesome. However, you should google each animal and see how their temperaments and habits would fit best into your lifestyle. Oh and remember, all those choices can be quite stinky, so make sure you are ready for that.
hamsters and gerbils are cheaper. hamsters and gerbils cost 15 to 25 depening on type. i like hamsters better. they smell less and dont chew as much.
Ok
hamsters; They are the cheapest. but they bite. they are usually pretty mean and they die in two years. they arnt very good in my opinion.
rats: they are great! they dont bite or anything usually. they only thing is that they are very likely to get sick and you will have to pay alot for a vet.
chinchilla: they are amazing! they are the hardedest to keep and they need a biug cage. but they like for at least 10 years! and they are soooo soft!
gerbil: they are good pbut they smell.
hope I helped!!!!
I recommend chinchillas they are cute. They do not bite and they are easy to care for . Plus they live for 20 years!!! Sure they are expensive but they are worth it.
