I got a winter white hamster yesterday and she’s not exactly afraid of people, but she isn’t friendly eighther. How do I get her to like people?

Give her about a week to get used to her new home and try poking a finger in her cage. She might bite you or just run away.
With my first Robo Dwarf hammy I did a great job of getting her people friendly and she knew my scent and everything and would tolerate it when I held her. That was after I’d had her for about five months, so just get your new hammy used to humans after she settles down and she’ll be a social little freak in no time : )
Good luck!
patience is the KEY. What you should do is spend a lot of time with it each day and about exactly the same time so the hamster will know what to expect. Also have something like small chunks of carrot or other veggies as a treat. My hamster loves that
Or maybe something is bothering the hamster take it to a vet and get it check out.
give it some time to adjust to her new home. After a few days stick your hand in her cage and she will probably bite you… wait about a day and than try again. she might sniff it or climb up on it. If you are scared of her biting you than you can wear gloves. to make her more nice try to play with her everyday and show her that you mean no Harm,
good luck Hope this helps
leave her alone. You only just got her. I know its hard but she needs time to settle in. In about two days time introduce your hand to the cage and see what she thinks but dont push her. Also I would clench your fist because she may bite you (not knowing your sent that well) I would in about 4 days put a jar/tube out in front of her and she will limb inside. Then take her out and rest jar.tube on your legs. Then leave her to sniff about on you. Just dont push her.
Remember hamsters are short sighted so dont be angry with them if they bite you (although it is sore) just put them back in their cage.
Never pick a hamster up if it lies on its back and shows its teeth
And if your hamster is rubbing its nose and face quickly then its scared (same if squeking)
Never hold a hamster up in the air as they are unaware of hights and ifthey fall more than a metre it can kill them
Good Luck xx
You may want to stop calling it a “dwarf” hamster. “Little”hamster describes the breed without the baggage of the term “dwarf’.
My hamster was the same…just take it out everyday….just pet it sometimes and after a while it will get more friendly
bring her out every day and pet her and let her get used to her new home
