Do You Know Of Any Good Hamster Cages?

I’m thinking about getting a syrian hamster. I do not want to buy a Crittertrail or any other kind of cheap plastic-tubey cages. Does anyone know of a relatively inexpensive, large cage suitable for a syrian hamster?

Aquariums are nice, but a large inexpensive cage for a syrain hamster is a bin cage. A bin cage is just a large bin. For syrains, I’d buy some wire mesh at home depot for cheap and put it over the sides.

A “My First Pet Cage” it’s big but you have to buy an aquariume to go under it.aquarium
Get a ten gallon or larger aquarium. Easiest things to clean. Just put your rodent in a ball, dump the bedding in the trash, wipe clean.
Normally an aquarium will work. It is nearly escape-proof, so it is probably the best choice. Cages with tubes can accidentally fall apart while you’re not looking and let the hamster loose
