Once in awhile when I clean out my hamster cage.I noticed some of her bedding has blood on it. Do hamsters have periods? Or is this blood somthin different?
She is 7 months old.

Well… the best thing to do would be to examine her for scratches/wounds. Check her mouth for teeth problems, check her paws, check everything. If you notice a scab or two, examine the toys and things in the cage for sharp points and unsafe qualities and remove the culprit. If you notice more than one scab, is she also missing fur in some places? This could be the result of mites. If there aren’t any scabs or anything suspicious on her, there is nothing to worry about.
Hamsters do go through heat just like a cat or a dog.
I hope this helps. Good Luck!
every female mammal has its period. its probably the period.
its sick
Yeah, all mammals have periods. But because hamsters are so small, you generally won’t even notice the tiny amount of blood in her bedding. If it’s only a little bit, I wouldn’t worry. However, if there is quite a bit, it might be a good idea to take her to the vet’s for a check-up. It could just be a small infection, but it’s best to be on the safe side!

Your hamster just probably had her period. I used to have a hamster, she also had her period. I first began to worry because I actually had two hamsters and she could have been abused by the other hamster. But a few days later, it stopped. After about a month, she had babies. So don’t be worried about her.
probably her period but if she seems sick take her to the vet
No i dont think hamsters have periods
