You really have a thing for gerbils, don’t you?

I’m always worried about my hamsters teeth growing to long, so I put an unflavored dog bone kind of thing in the cage. My small hamster nibbles on it but not very much. How much could a hamsters teeth grow in say, a week? What kind of things can I give them so their teeth won’t grow to long?

I have a Syrian Hamster and i really like her, but i want a pet that is social and could live with other of the same species. But, the only thing i dont like about hamsters is that they smell and are nocturnal. Should i get 2 dwarf hamsters or 2 Gerbils?

As i said, my hamster Crash died and i have no clue. I want to get another hamster. How do i clean the cage properly so i can have another hamster live in it? i don’t know if my hamster had a disease orr what, so i know i really need to clean it really well. How can i do this? Can i use bleach mixed with water?

I have three adolescent male gerbils. One of them (Sirius) keeps trying to mate with another one (Remus). I am fairly certain that they are all males, but do not know for sure. I have never seen this in gerbils before. Is Sirius making a mistake, or should I start worrying about a litter?

I am considering taking my male 8-9 month old hamster to the vet because it is urinating blood.

She usually doesn’t climb up on me when I put my hand in. She’ll put her front paws on it, but not her back. Well now she is fully climbing on me, and then urinating. Everything I put in her cage, she is urinating on. Does she have a UTI, or is she marking her territory. Also, if I pet her, she he lowering herself very low like it hurts her. There is no way that she got hurt though, unless she fell off her wheel, which is very low…

I’m worried that my hamster will die of falling down the hamster cage fence. Does it get sick or all hamsters do that?

My gerbils had an unexpected litter 3 weeks ago. I want to get rid of the daddy asap. My neighbour is going to take the daddy away but would also like one of the pups (to share a cage). I obviously can’t give away one of the pups this early as i can’t sex them until five weeks. Could i give the daddy away tomorrow and then give them a pup when it is five weeks or would they just fight?
